Are you aged 16-25?
Become a young advisor

We’re recruiting three paid Young Advisors to help run and shape Project 9.0. If you’re interested in working with others, taking responsibility, and developing real skills, we want to hear from you. You’ll help plan and run sessions, support young people, and help tell their stories.

  • You should be all of the following:

    • Aged 16-25

    • Eligible to work in the UK or Ireland

    • Live, study, or work in Greater London or Dartford

    • Able to commit to 8 hours per week (mix of online + in-person)

    • Happy to complete a DBS check

    • Open to learning and trying new things

    • Ready to take responsibility and get stuck in

  • You’ll work mainly in one focus area of the project, but everyone contributes to the campaign overall. Examples of what you may do include:

    • Helping plan and support campaign sessions

    • Creating or sharing content (photos, video, posts, updates)

    • Welcoming young people into sessions and supporting involvement

    • Taking part in team meetings and shaping ideas

    • Helping keep things organised and running smoothly

    • Representing the campaign in spaces or conversations when needed

You’ll be supported throughout, and you don’t need to know how to do everything already.

  • You’ll be paid the London Living Wage (£13.85/hr rising to £14.80 from April) for 8 hours a week, plus you’ll get:

    • Real experience in planning, content, youth engagement or organising

    • Support and training from the team

    • Something solid for your CV / UCAS / portfolio

    • A chance to shape how a real campaign runsork

  • Applications are open now and close on 11 November.

FAQs

  • We count South East London as any of the following boroughs:

    • Bexley

    • Bromley

    • Greenwich

    • Lambeth

    • Lewisham

    • Southwark

You also count as being from South East London if your temporary accommodation is provided by any of these boroughs.

  • Homelessness isn’t just sleeping on the streets. It also means not having a safe, stable place to live. This could be staying in temporary accommodation, sofa surfing, living in a crowded home, or somewhere you could be asked to leave at any time. If you don’t feel secure where you live, that counts. Everyone’s situation is different, and we want to hear your experience.

  • Most sessions will be at Lewisham Youth Theatre every two weeks, usually after school. Sometimes we’ll meet in other places across South East London, but they’ll always be easy to get to. We’ll pay back travel costs, and cover any extra needs if you need support getting there.

  • No experience needed — just your lived experience, whether it’s your own or someone close to you. You don’t need to have done any campaigns, volunteering, or projects before. For the Youth Advisory Group, some teamwork experience helps, but it’s not a must. What matters most is your voice and your potential.

  • If there’s anything that would help you take part or feel more comfortable, let us know in the form, big or small. You can also email us at projectnine@endz.uk any time if you want to talk things through or need support with anything, like filling out the form. We’re here to help!

  • Yes – 100%! You’ll get a Project 9.0 t-shirt (which you’ll help design – exciting, we know), plus other bits to help you feel part of the team. If you’re in the Youth Advisory Group, you’ll also get a custom hoodie and your own YAG lanyard. At sessions, there’ll be snacks on deck and sometimes hot food, and we’ll plan fun trips and days out across the year, because doing good should feel good too.

  • We’re not a housing charity, so we can’t offer direct housing support or legal advice. But we can point you towards trusted services, help you understand your rights, and – if needed – speak to local services on your behalf if we think you may be at risk. Longer-term, we’re working with young people to build better support and resources for those facing homelessness.
