safeguarding.

At EG, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to creating safe, inclusive, and empowering environments for all young people aged 11–25 who engage with our work. Whether someone is taking part in a workshop, helping lead a project, or simply reaching out to us, we believe every young person deserves to feel seen, valued, and protected. Safeguarding at EG means more than preventing harm, it means actively promoting wellbeing, rights, and respect at every level of our organisation.

We follow the National Youth Agency’s safeguarding standards and apply them across all programmes, platforms, and partnerships. Our policies cover a wide range of risks, including emotional abuse, online harm, mental health crises, neglect, discrimination, and more. All staff and volunteers receive appropriate training, are DBS-checked, and follow strict codes of conduct. Young people with additional needs, or those in staff or leadership roles aged 16–17, are offered tailored safeguarding support to ensure their safety is never compromised.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. If you’re worried about the safety or wellbeing of a young person connected to EG, please contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead at talk@endz.uk. We will always listen, take concerns seriously, and respond in line with our safeguarding policy. For young people, support is also available anytime through Childline on 0800 1111. Our commitment to safeguarding is ongoing; we continuously review and improve our practices to keep young people safe and supported in all the spaces we create.
