This role is full-time and will mostly be remote, but as part of this role you’ll also be attending in-person sessions with young people, and doing in-person outreach work. We don’t expect you to commit more than 3 days a week, but you may need to attend a session or event any day of the week (excluding sundays).
This voluntary student placement is open to London-based university students. You’ll be working with young people facing disadvantage and help to realise their vision of a fairer future. You may still be eligible for a full maintenance loan or DSA support during this placement.
About the role
This role is all about making sure young people’s voices shape real change. You’ll work directly on Project 9.0, supporting research, campaigns, and youth-led outreach aimed at ending child homelessness in London. You'll help build connections with councils and services, support young people involved in the programme, and contribute to policy and advocacy work rooted in lived experience.
You’ll be part of our 2025/26 placement team, alongside two other students as well as the Youth Insight & Policy Lead who will assist you on your placement. You’ll help EG expand its impact while gaining practical experience in policy, youth voice, and systems change – all within a youth-led organisation.
